Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The primary outcome measure is the determination of differences in taste perception with integrated dentures compared to subjects with healthy unrestored teeth. The test uses paper strips (TasteStrips) with the flavors sweet, sour, salty and bitter in 4 different flavor intensities and up to two strips without flavor in randomized order. The test subjects indicate the flavor and the flavor intensity on a visual analog scale (VAS).

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Secondary objectives are body perception (MAIA questionnaire on interoceptive perception), oral health-related quality of life (OHIP49-G questionnaire), influence of oral hygiene and an analysis of the type of dentures
