Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients after partial resection of the lower and/or upper jaw and surgical-prosthetic rehabilitation completed > 6 months ago

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Surgically and prosthetically non-rehabilitated patients - Fixation of the paraocclusal tray (axiography) in the lower jaw not possible - Lack of consent from the patient, - Patients with dementia or other cognitive impairments who are unable to consent to the study, patients who do not consent to participate in the study for other reasons.

Objective assessment of chewing performance using the mixing ability test of a two-colored chewing gum with separate blue and pink layers (Hue-Check Gum©, University of Bern, Switzerland) at 20 chewing cycles and subjective assessment of health-related quality of life (EORTC H&N35).	—

Differences in masticatory performance and health-related quality of life between maxillary and mandibular defects and in comparison to healthy subjects.	—
