Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: BMI = 30, aortic valve replacement surgery at the University Heart Center Bad Krozingen using hemisternotomy or full sternotomy

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Combined procedures including tricuspid valve intervention, mitral valve replacement, pulmonary valve intervention, aortic arch surgery, and bypass operations using arterial grafts

Sternal wound healing disorders, 30-day mortality, and in-hospital mortality
