Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: A score above 0.75 on the depression subscale of the ISR was used as an inclusion criterion. The BDI-II was used as a disorder-specific screening instrument. A cut-off score of more than 13 was defined to indicate mild depressive symptoms.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Participants with visual/hearing impairments or a lack of German language skills were excluded. Participants with previous episodes of psychosis or mania and participants who were undergoing psychotherapeutic treatment were excluded.

Becks-Depressions-Inventory (BDI-II) and Rosenbergs Self-Esteem Scale (RSES) pre-intervention and two weeks post-intervention.
