Group 1: In a cohort study with three measurement time points, 123 employees in healthcare professions with caregiving and supply responsibilities who have post-COVID will be surveyed retrospectively

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: - Employment in healthcare with caregiving and supervisory responsibilities with recognized occupational disease (BK-Nr. 3101) due to an infection with SARS-CoV-2 - Post-acute phase (at least 3 months after the infection) - Ongoing post-COVID-19 symptoms - Voluntary participation in the study Additionally, one of the following criteria must apply: - The participants are currently unable to work at T1 and plan to return to their job, or - The participants have undergone a successful RTW process and are currently able to work again, or - The participants are currently unable to work again after completing or discontinuing a RTW process.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: • medically confirmed severe cognitive impairments or psychological instability due to COVID-19 presence of the following medically confirmed severe conditions prior COVID-19 or in the last 6 months: • severe cognitive impairments or psychological instability • severe cardiological diseases • psychological or neurocognitive disorders • neurological conditions or acute traumatic brain injuries with long-term consequences • severe pneumological conditions • acute musculoskeletal conditions

| As part of the quantitative analysis, all participants will be surveyed at three measurement time points regarding their disease progression, individual protective and risk factors, and work ability using partially digital, standardized assessments. Within the qualitative sub-study, individual cases will be selectively chosen from the quantitative study based on predefined (contrasting) criteria to explore, through biographical analyses (mapping), how post-COVID patients perceive their recovery and RTW processes. Both patients with successful reintegration and those with unsuccessful RTW attempts will be selected and analyzed. The retrospective, longitudinal perspective aims to interpret individuals' subjective experiences and uncover strategic pathways, progression patterns, and coping strategies while simultaneously identifying factors that contributed to either the successful restoration of work ability or its failure thus far. | — |
