| The extent of the therapeutic alliance in connection with similarity or complementarity in terms of the fit between therapist and patient. First, the therapists are rated by independent diagnosticians according to the Operationalized Psychodynamic Diagnostics (OPD-3). At the same time, they complete self-report questionnaires on Axis II (relationship, IMI-R), Axis III (conflict, OPD conflict questionnaire) and Axis IV (structure, OPD-SF12), as well as control instruments such as the B5TR. Each therapist then meets with 20-40 different patients, each for 5 sessions. Before the initial interviews, the patients completed the same self-report questionnaires as the therapists. In the first three sessions, an Operationalized Psychodynamic Diagnostic (OPD-3) interview is conducted. Then the therapist rates the patient according to the Operationalized Psychodynamic Diagnostics (OPD-3). In the fourth session, the results are communicated and both the therapist and the patient rate the therapeutic alliance (e.g., WAI-SR-T, TRQ-40) at the end of the fourth session. In the fifth session, a SKID interview is then conducted. | — |
