Inclusion criteria: - Patients with COPD (diagnosis according to GOLD criteria) - Consent - The ability to read and understand German

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Age < 40 years - Lack of capacity to consent - Diagnosed bronchial asthma - Other lung diseases

To what extent do specific socioepidemiological characteristics of COPD patients correlate with loneliness and social isolation? In particular, the study will examine whether lonely and/or socially isolated COPD patients visit their GP/pulmonologist more often and whether they have to be hospitalized more often due to their illness. In addition, the study will examine whether there is a correlation between the stage of COPD and loneliness and/or social isolation.	—
