Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Status after liver transplantation - Clinically indicated liver biopsy - Referral for ultrasound examination of the liver - Written informed consent from patient (depending on developmental stage) and legal guardian

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Non-compliance by the patient - No written consent from patient / legal guardian

Correlation of sonographic parameters with results of histopathological examination of transplant liver biopsies

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To evaluate novel sonographic methods for characterisation of liver and spleen tissue with quantification of perfusion parameters, fibrotic changes, steatosis and signs of inflammation/rejection. To establish sonography as an alternative/supplement to established invasive techniques for classification of liver parenchymal changes.
