Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Participants with sufficient knowledge of German. Patients must meet the diagnostic criteria for one of the following main diagnoses according to ICD10: diagnosis of an affective disorder (F30-F39), a psychotic disorder (F20-F29), an anxiety disorder (F40-F41), an obsessive-compulsive disorder (F42), a neurotic, stress or somatoform disorder (F43-F48) or a personality disorder (F60-F62) and participate in the program of the psychiatric day clinic, Clinic and Polyclinic for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, University Hospital of Munich, LMU Munich.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients are excluded if they meet the ICD10 criteria for active substance dependence (abstinence for less than 6 months), an eating disorder, an organic mental disorder or acute suicidality (as a primary or comorbid diagnosis). Patients are screened and diagnosed by a trained clinician using the ICD10 criteria (mini-interview and SKID-5-PD). All patients are excluded who are currently pregnant or who suffer from an unstable or inadequately treated concomitant somatic disease including acute and chronic infections and autoimmune disease.

Naturalistic longitudinal study of the improvement in psychological well-being (WHO-5), euthymia (Euthymia Scale, CIE), resilience (CD-RISC19), quality of life (WHOQOL-BREF) and psychosocial functioning level (SOFAS, PSI) through an 8-week transdiagnostic WBT therapy program in a day hospital setting.

• Naturalistic longitudinal study of the improvement of mental illness symptoms (BSI-53, MASDR, BDI-II) through an 8-week transdiagnostic WBT therapy program in a day clinic setting. • Naturalistic longitudinal investigation of clinical predictors, mediators and moderators (including childhood trauma: CTQ) of the 8-week transdiagnostic WBT therapy program. • Feasibility and acceptance of WBT: WBT can be used sensibly in the context of a general psychiatric day clinic and is accepted by patients with various mental illnesses as well as by employees.
