Interventions

Group 1: Patients with type 1 diabetes receive in the morning a mixed meal tolerance test with measurement of plasma C-peptide at 0 and 90 minutes.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Diabetes mellitus Type 1 Diabetes duration longer than 30 years Insulin therapy since diabetes manifestation Blood glucose on the day of the examination 4-11 mmol/l

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: eGFR < 60 ml/min Pregnancy
