Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Capacity to consent - Planned participation in the 2-week use of the brushing trays - Diagnosed periodontitis - Motorically unimpaired participants younger than 40 years and motorically impaired participants older than 65 years - Either complete dentition, partially dentate dentition, or partial prosthetic restoration

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Antibiotic intake within the last 3 months - Use of medications that may affect (gingival) inflammation - Presence of severe systemic diseases, including conditions with high endocarditis risk, immunosuppression, and existing infectious diseases (HIV)
