Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Bariatric Surgery at the University Hospital Mannheim, Germany Consent to participate in the study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Age under 18 years

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Antral grading system score (grade 0/1/2). The ultrasound measurement is performed preoperatively in the supine and right lateral position as part of the preoperative preparation.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
- Sonographic gastric volume (derived from cross-sectional area) - Time from last fluid intake to sonographic determination of gastric volume - Gastric volume of subpopulations (severity of obesity, patients with diabetic gastropathy, use of GLP-1 analogues) - Anthropometric and clinical parameters
