Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Diagnosis of HOCM according to the diagnostic criteria specified in the European Society of Cardiology 2023 guideline "Cardiomyopathy"

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - severe underlying disease other than cardiomyopathy that is likely to lead to death within one year - Incapable of giving consent - Inability to undergo stress echocardiography (e.g. severe osteoarthritis of the knee joint) - Pregnant women

MeasureTime frame
Maximum size of the LVOT gradient provoked by physiological provocation measured by Doppler ultrasonography during a cardiac ultrasound examination while performing the Valsalva maneuver, while using a handgrip, after squats and during bicycle stress echocardiography.
