Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Sufficient communication skills

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: • Conditions affecting the tongue's appearance (e.g., oral trauma, oral cancer, tongue piercings). • Intakt of food or fluids which colored the tongue 12h before consultation (e.g. red wine, red juice) • Tongue cleaning performed beforehand 12h before consultation • Absence of confirmed diagnosis

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The correlation between tongue morphology and the existing diagnosis will be examined, with a focus on color, shape, coating, and specific topographical features of the tongue. These aspects will be analyzed and evaluated using specially developed questionnaires.

Secondary

- Preliminary pattern identification: Conduct an initial identification of patterns or trends within the database, such as commonalities in tongue features (tongue color, fissures on the tongue, tongues’ coating) among certain diagnoses, as a basis for future detailed analysis. - Correlation between Chinese Medicine Tongue diagnosis and underlying disease -correlation tongue colour and hemoglobin - morphological analysis of tongue variations: correlation with hemoglobin levels? gastric disorders? inflammation?
