Conditions

Analysis of drainage fluids from pancreatic surgery

Interventions

Group 1: Spectral and laboratory measurements of drainage fluids. The laboratory measurements correspond to the usual clinical routine. Spectral measurements are carried out on 2-4 days together with

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Ability to understand the nature and individual consequences of the study - Written informed consent - Planned elective pancreatic resection - Planned abdominal drainage

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Legal representation - Inability to communicate (cognitive or due to language barrier) - Inability to understand the nature of this study

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
- The descriptive representation of the spectral curves of abdominal drainage fluids with expected dominant components of bilirubin, blood, etc. - The exploratory investigation of the relationship of the measured spectral data with the corresponding concentrations in blood and drainage fluid measured by the laboratory.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
- Algorithmic differentiation of the different drainage fluid qualities. - Exploratory analysis of whether there are relationships between technical details of the operations performed, intraoperative risk factors for postoperative complications, the measured spectra, as well as later occuring clinical complications. - Comparison of evaluation of drainage fluid of the medical staff with the measured laboratory values and spectra.
