Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Suspected newly diagnosed glioma CNS-WHO Grade 2-4; signed informed consent; age = 18 years.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients who are not eligible for tumor-specific therapy (radiation, chemotherapy, or radiochemotherapy depending on tumor type); patients who are unable to give informed consent due to an accompanying psychiatric disorder; known history of alcohol or drug abuse in the 12 months prior to screening; contraindications for magnetic resonance imaging (pacemaker or implanted metal in the skull) or PET imaging; pregnancy / breastfeeding.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Correlation of the TSPO-PET signal and FET-PET signal with tissue samples at initial diagnosis and in recurrence using immunohistochemistry, cell separation, and flow cytometry, as well as correlation of molecular changes within heterogeneous tumor areas (exploratory)

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Longitudinal detection of changes in the TSPO signal using TSPO-PET and correlation of image signal differences with treatment response (according to PET RANO 1.0) as well as the timing and location of recurrence (exploratory)
