Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - diagnosed chronic obstructive pulmonary disease - No main psychological indications - command of the German language

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - infection - Major orthopaedic movement restrictions - significant heart disease (e.g. left heart failure, cor pulmonale, cardiomyopathies) - Comorbidity with other lung diseases

MeasureTime frame
The study consists of two parts. The first part of the study includes 7 measurement points: 1) t0 takes place before attending the rehab clinic. 2) t1 takes place at the beginning of the visit to the rehabilitation clinic. 3) t2 takes place directly after attending the rehabilitation clinic. 4) t3 takes place 3 months after attending the rehab clinic. 5) t4 takes place 6 months after attending the rehab clinic. 6) t5 takes place 9 months after attending the rehab clinic. 7) t6 takes place 12 months after attending the rehabilitation clinic.

For study part 2, interviews with rehabilitants will be conducted, which will either include improvement potentials of the rehabilitation and aftercare measures or the barriers and motivational factors for independent training.
