Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Assessment of complication rates and adequacy of postoperative mobilization following symphyseal plating after temporary treatment with external fixation | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| 1. Retrospective assessment of the impact of the osteosynthesis method on postoperative radiological reduction quality (excellent, 15mm) using short-term postoperative radiographs and CT-images obtained from patient files. 2. Assessment of functional long-term outcomes after primary versus secondary plating using patient files 3. Assessment of quality of life after primary and secondary plate osteo-synthesis of the pubic symphysis in the long term using standardised questionnaires and comparison thereof 4. Impact of primary versus secondary symphyseal plating on LOS (length of stay), ventilation duration, IMC-ICU length of stay, transfusion requirements, remobilization, CRO (clinician-reported outcomes: SMFA score), and pain at the time of discharge (through patient files) and follow-up (using standardised questionnaires) 5. Assessment and comparison of social reintegration between the different osteosynthesis methods using standardised questionnaires | — |
