Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Participants must be at least 18 years old - Participants must have internet access with their own smartphone - Participants must be able to speak German - Participants must have an ongoing rehab stay of at least 7 days (length of interaction)

MeasureTime frame
Assessment of the patients' perceived loneliness (De Jon Gierveld and van Tibur, 2006 Loneliness Short Inventory - 6 items and DJG Loneliness Inventory - 11 items in own modification to assess the daily experience of loneliness). Recording of variables on the perception of the language assistant's behaviour, in particular measurement of perceived emotional closeness and social presence (scale for measuring emotional closeness & scale for measuring social presence).

MeasureTime frame
Additional recording of variables such as attitudes towards language assistance systems, behaviour of the language assistant (proactivity, friendliness, conversational skills). Recording of control variables in the form of a short personality inventory (BFI-10 and extract from BFI-2) in order to be able to take possible personality-specific interaction effects into account in the analysis.
