Since this study investigate a prevention program, it includes young women with notable body dissatisfaction who are at an elevated risk of developing an eating disorder (coded as F50) but who currently do not meet the diagnostic criteria for a formal diagnosis. F50

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Cis, increased body dissatisfaction (at least 1 SD above the mean in the short version of the Body Shape Questionnaire (BSQ-8c; Pook et al., 2008; people with a total score = 22), native German or German at native speaker level, 18.5 = BMI = 30, access to PC/laptop with stable internet connection

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Current pregnancy, current eating disorder or eating disorder in the past, current psychotherapy, taking psychotropic drugs, suicidal intentions, participation in another project on body satisfaction, presence of the following mental illnesses: Schizophrenia, psychosis, bipolar disorder or manic episode, moderate or severe depressive episode, borderline personality disorder, substance use disorder

- Body dissatisfaction (t1 to t2, before and after completion of the programs) assessed using the short version of the Body Shape Questionnaire (BSQ-8C; original version: Evans and Dolan, 1993; German version: Pook et al., 2002)

From T1 to T2 and from T1 to T3 (four weeks after T2): - Eating disorder symptoms (assessed using the Eating Disorder Questionnaire - short; EDE-QS; Gideon et al., 2016) - Body image (assessed using the Eating Disorder Inventory 2; EDI-2; Thiel et al., 1997; and Sociocultural Attitudes Towards Appearance Questionnaire-4; SATAQ-4; Schäfer et al., 2004) - Depressiveness and anxiety (assessed using the Depression Anxiety Stress Scales-Short Form; DASS-21; Lovibond & Lovibond, 1995) - Self-esteem (assessed using the German adaptation of the Rosenberg-Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale; RSES; Rosenberg, 1965) - Interpretation bias (independently developed scenario task, based on the subscales of the EDE-QS; Gideon et al., 2016)
