Inclusion criteria: - Staff: medical and nursing staff in the emergency department of the facility - Patients (for the calculation of the outcome variables): All emergency patients in the emergency department of the facility

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Staff: leaving the facility or emergency department during the course of the study, short-term employees

MeasureTime frame
Name: Patient length of stay Measurement: Duration between admission and discharge from the emergency department. Time: Monthly mean and standard deviation across all patients.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Name: Perceived stress level Measurement: Self-assessment, four-point version of the measurement according to Bolino and Turnley (2005) on a 5-point Likert scale. Time: At the end of the shift, reflecting on the shift just completed
