Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: People who are on the waiting list for guideline psychotherapy in the outpatient clinic Ehrenberg and colleagues in Wolfsburg (Germany). After an initial psychotherapeutic consultation (screening), all people on the waiting list were diagnosed with at least one mental disorder according to ICD-10 or a suspected diagnosis with an indicatin for outpatient psychotherapy. The patients provied a written informed consent to use their data for research purposes.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Reduction of psychological symptoms and associated impairments of patients - Two assessments (pre, post) in the intervention and control group four weeks apart. In the intervention group, the pre-assessment takes place before the start of the first session of the basic group psychotherapeutic care and the post assessment takes place after the fourth session. In the control group, participants also fill out the questionnaires twice, four weeks apart. - In the intervention group, the outcome measures are additionally collected before the second and third sessions of the basic group psychotherapeutic care. Measures (self-report questionnaires) - Depression scale of the Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9; Kroenke et al., 2001) to assess symptoms of depression - Generalized Anxiety Questionnaires (GAD-7; Spitzer et al., 2006) to assess symptoms of depression - Symptom-Checklist-90®-Standard (SCL-90®-S, Franke, 2014) to assess the extent of impairment caused by physical and psychological symptoms
