Interventions

Group 1: Isolation of primary chondrocytes from surgical waste tissue. Culturing the cells to produce a 3D micromass representative of the structure of the cartilage.

18 Years to 99 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients undergoing total hip arthroplasty surgery.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Infections, necrosis of the femoral head, disorders of bone metabolism, rheumatoid arthritis or other inflammatory arthritis, post-traumatic osteoarthritis, treatment with bisphosphonates, lupus, gout, pregnancy.
