Inclusion criteria: Patients who underwent lung transplantation at the LMU Hospital between December 1, 2019, and March 31, 2023

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients under 18 years of age

• Requirement for pain medication or additional postoperative analgesics (highest value on the Visual Analog Scale or the numerical rating scale during intensive care stay. Total daily dose of opioids intra- and postoperatively) • Mortality • Duration of postoperative hospital stay, Duration of intensive care stay

The incidence of chronic pain 6 months postoperatively (personal contact and inquiry based on a questionnaire)
