Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Written consent Minimum age of 18 years Sonographic evidence of soft tissue oedema and/or incipient calcification of the muscles surrounding the joint Diagnosis verified by means of a CT or MRI scan of the pelvis

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Refusal to conduct the study Increased tendency to bleed The area of the puncture site must not show any skin irritation Ventilated patients

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Tissue sample by fine needle biopsy from the hip joint and from an unaffected calf for cross-checking.

MeasureTime frame
Sonographic control and radiological evaluation of the examination using MRI or CT
