| Adoption of a science-based prevention approach: Approximately 12 (+/-5) School Key Informants (school staff, parents) per school are interviewed about their school using a standardised questionnaire. The adoption of a science-based prevention approach is operationalised in this questionnaire by means of 20 items. These are summarised into a complex index that records the following six levels of adoption of a science-based prevention approach: 0 = No knowledge of key prevention concepts 1 = Knowledge of key prevention terms/concepts 2 = Risk/protection factor model (RS/SF) as a basis for planning 3 = Epidemiological needs assessment for RS/SF 4 = Needs-oriented selection of evidence-based programmes 5 = Monitoring and evaluation of implemented programmes The primary endpoint is measured as the proportion of School Key Informants who classify the school as level 4 or 5 according to this index. | — |
