Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: rUTI cohort: - Adult women with recent history of rUTI defined as =3 UTI during the last 12 months or =2 UTI during the last 6 months - Urogenital anatomical abnormalities allowed in small subgroup (n=5) Control group: single UTI - Adult women with symptomatic community-acquired uncomplicated UTI at time of inclusion; symptoms include dysuria, increased urinary frequency and urgency OR Adult women with history of single UTI in last 5 years without recurrences afterwards - Absence of symptoms for alternative urogenital infections including vaginal discharge and vaginal pain at time of UTI presentation
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Both groups: Pregnancy Control group: - Known anatomical abnormalities in the lower urinary tract - UTI in previous 6 months - Antibiotic treatment in previous 3 months
