Group 1: OCT imaging is used to check tumor boundaries and compare them with standardized procedures (fluorescence).

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - primary supratentorial gliomas and metastases in non-eloquent brain areas

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - patients unable to give consent

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Proof of method safety with regular intraoperative use. Proof of the sensitivity & specificity of the iOCT/MHz-OCT method already integrated in the surgical microscope in comparison to standard fluorescence and its effect on resection radicality in cerebral tumor surgery.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Evaluation of the image information with regard to intraoperative clinical relevance. Evaluation of the practicability and safety of the method in routine surgical use. Examination of the sensitivity and specificity of the advanced technology in comparison to standard fluorescence.
