Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Consent to participate in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Skull base fractures, head injuries, pregnancy, risk of cerebral hemorrhage, stroke, aneurysm, malignant hypertension. Taking non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or anticoagulants.Taking certain medications (cardiovascular drugs, antidepressants, hormone replacement therapy for thyroid disorders). Subjects with pain. Subjects taking part in a study of this type should not be undergoing therapeutic treatment (such as acupuncture or osteopathy) for one month prior to testing and should not meditate regularly on a weekly basis, as the effect on HRV cannot be ruled out. Cardiac pacemakers. Cardiovascular problems occurring in the period of 4 weeks prior to the intervention.

Differences between the differences of RMSSD (Root Mean Square of Successive Differences), SDNN (Standard Deviation of the NN Intervall), HF (High Frequency) und LF (Low Frequency)-values ??of the heart rate variability, before and after a one-time “treatment of the tentorium cerebellar” by an osteopath and a sham treatment by a person not trained in osteopathic medicine. The data (HRV values) are collected using a Polar H10 chest strap and the Kubios Scientific software.
