Group 1: Non-kin caregiver survey using: (1) online questionnaires and/or (2) one-time qualitative in-depth interviews on caregivers’ experiences, contributions to end-of-life care, and support needs.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Non-kin caregivers providing care at least weekly for at least 4 hours per week, as unpaid, non-contractual, voluntary work outside of a professional or formal framework to a care-recipients who must be suffering from a malignant or non-malignant life-limiting chronic disease

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: cognitive impairment such as dementia; signiticant emotional distress during interview; withdrawl of consent to participate
