Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Navigation health literacy served as primary outcome in this study. It is defined as the ability and motivation to find, understand, evaluate, and apply health-related information and services provided in or by organizations or professionals in a person’s vicinity (e.g., city, district, neighborhood). A quantitative instrument with 15 items was developed to assess navigational health literacy, which could be answered on a four-point response scale with regard to the degree of agreement. The primary outcome was measured twice (baseline and one week after completion of the intervention).

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Barriers to help-seeking behavior using 6 items on a 5-point response scale (adapted from the Barriers to Care Instrument, Guo et al., 2014), social distance using 7 items and a 5-point response scale (Schulze et al., 2003)
