Group 1: Patients before primary endoprosthetic replacement of the hip or knee joint at the Ortho-Campus Hüls in Krefeld will be asked about their preoperative anxiety using questionnaires.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Declaration of consent after patient information, sufficient knowledge of the German Language

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Severe cognitive or linguistic deficits that prevent understanding and answering the questions

MeasureTime frame
Prevalence and severity of preoperative anxiety in the knee and hip arthroplasty, using the scores: APAIS (Amsterdam preoperative anxiety and information scale), a modified numeric rating scale (mNRS) and 2 self-developed anxiety scores about the procedure, the anesthesia and the postoperative mobilisation.
