Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Acute traumatic unilateral and complete tibial shaft fracture (AO classification 42-A to C) with or without an additional fibula fracture Operative treatment with an intramedullary nail at the BG Hospital Murnau
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: further injuries of the lower extremity neurological conditions affecting gait BMI = 31 patient is unable to comprehend the study project
