Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis (ACR diagnostic criteria) Patients with first diagnosis of RA Patients with established RA at change of therapy Active disease defined as DAS28 > 3.2

Exclusion criteria: Cardiovascular diseases Other contraindications for exercise intervention

MeasureTime frame
Determination of physical activity in patients with RA and Measurement of possible changes in physical activity three months after new diagnosis or change in therapy at the start of the study, end of week 6 and end of week 12 (= end of study). Survey of the relationship between physical activity in everyday life and the patients' well-being using routine questionnaires at the start and end of the study: - SF-36 - Short From (36) health questionnaire - HAQ - Health Assessment Questionnaire - WOMAC - Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index Study-specific questionnaire (start of study, end of week 6, end of study): - IPAQ - International Physical Activity Questionnaire
