Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Healthy subjects: minor illnesses not relevant to the study (e.g. stable hypothyroidism, orthopaedic complaints), near-normal lung function Subjects with COPD: diseases not relevant to the study (e.g. stable hypothyroidism, orthopaedic complaints)
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Healthy subjects: Fear of travelling on cable cars, clinically manifest heart disease (e.g. coronary heart disease) or other serious illnesses with the risk of acute deterioration Subjects with COPD: Fear of travelling on cable cars, FEV1 <50 %, Need for or already established long-term oxygen therapy, multiple exacerbations within a year, clinically manifest heart disease (e.g. coronary heart disease)
