Interventions

Group 1: Repetitive navigated transcranial magnetic stimulation (rnTMS) at 1 Hz for 15 minutes per session (900 pulses) for 7 days week-daily. RnTMS is applied to the contralesional primary motor cort

Age
18 Years to No maximum

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Patients after resection of a supratentorial brain tumor - Deterioration of motor status immediately postoperatively compared to preoperative status - Age = 18 years - Patients whose physical and mental condition allows them to give full and comprehensive informed consent - Written declaration of consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Patients with contraindications for MRI imaging - Patients with contraindications for a TMS examination - >1 generalized seizure per week - Pregnancy - Age < 18 years - Lack of consent to participate in the study

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Responsiveness as the proportion of treatment successes of patients based on the difference ? of the BMRC value of the treated extremity one month postoperatively compared to the baseline BMRC value before the start of rTMS therapy (success if ? = 1).

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) - Finger or toe tapping score depending on the affected extremity - Karnofsky Performance Status Scale (KPS) - Quality of life (EORTC QLQ BN20) - Characteristics of the tumor (location, volume, histology) - Characteristics of the operation (anesthesia, extent of resection, resection of motor eloquent areas, presence of ischemia) - TMS parameters (resting motor threshold, measurability of MEPs)
