Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Normal hearing defined as hearing threshold < 20 dB for 500, 1000, 2000 and 4000 Hz.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Previous ear surgery, age 20 dB for 500, 1000, 2000 or 4000 Hz.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Hearing thresholds in 10 normal hearing subjects are determined for 500 Hz, 1000 Hz, 2000 Hz and 4000 Hz for ultrasound and bone conduction stimulation. Additionally, intracochlear pressure is measured in 5 cadaver heads for the same stimulation modes.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Three-dimensional velocity of the skull surface, middle ear ossicles, promontory and the otic capsula are measured.
