35 Years to 75 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: II) Medically diagnosed knee osteoarthritis. OR: Knee pain score >= 30mm on a 100mm visual analog scale (VAS) for at least 3 months during activities such as climbing stairs, squatting, or prolonged sitting. III) Anterior knee pain and at least one of the following conditions: Pain during direct compression of the patella against the femoral condyles at full knee extension. Pain on palpation of the posterior, lateral, or medial patellar surface. Pain during knee extension against resistance. Pain during isometric contraction of the quadriceps femoris muscle against suprapatellar resistance in slight knee flexion. Crepitus during active flexion or extension of the knee joint.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: I) Runner's knee or Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome II) Scar formation, adhesions, or complications from previous surgical procedures, ligament reconstructions, partial or total knee prostheses III) BMI >= 35 kg/m^2 IV) Any knee injections in the past month V) Previous inflammatory or post-infectious knee arthritis VI) Daily opioid intake VII) Severe comorbidities: Severe cases of cancer, heart diseases, diabetes, osteoporosis, anxiety disorders, and depression

Knee Injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score (KOOS) subscale : pain

MeasureTime frame
All other subscales of the KOOS questionnaire: Symptoms, Activities of Daily Living, Knee-related Quality of Life, Sport and Recreation, KOOS Questionnaire Patellofemoral Calculated from the data of the KOOS questionnaire: WOMAC pain and WOMAC composite
