Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Waiting list patients of the ZPP Greifswald, for whom the indication for outpatient psychotherapy was given after a psychotherapeutic consultation and detailed initial diagnostics.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria are defined as acute danger to self and others, acute psychotic experiences and parallel (partial) inpatient or outpatient psychotherapeutic treatment.

MeasureTime frame
Reduction of psychological distress in the experimental groups compared with the control group, measured by pre-post comparison of the measures of general symptom severity and depicted by the Global Severity Index (GSI) of the Brief Symptom Inventory (BSI) at three measurement points in a four week interval and one follow-up survey after three month.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Reduction of symptom severity on the Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9), the Multidimensional Emotional Disorder Inventory (MEDI), and the Brief Symptom Inventory subscales. Specific increase in module-specific competencies in the experimental group, measured by pre-post comparisons and depicted by the instruments Southampton Mindfulness Questionnaire, german version (SMQ-D), Cognitive Fusion Questionnaire, german version (CFQ-D), Inventory of Interpersonal Problems, german version (IIP-32) and Scales of Psychological Well-Being, german version (FPWB-54). Increase in cost-effectiveness in the experimental group compared to the waiting list of the ZPP Greifswald, measured by pre-post comparisons and depicted by the a german questionnaire on utilization of medical and non-medical care services for mental illnesses (FIMPsy) and the EuroQol-questionnaire on health-related quality of life (EQ-5D-5L). Parameters are collected at three measurement points at intervals of four weeks and a follow-up survey after three months.
