Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Adult, asymptomatic patients (>18 years) who underwent carotid TEA due to high-grade arterial stenosis at the Clinic for Vascular Surgery and Endovascular Surgery Heidelberg from 2003 onwards Adult, asymptomatic patients (>18 years) who underwent carotid TEA due to high-grade arterial stenosis at the Clinic for Vascular Surgery and Endovascular Surgery Heidelberg from the start of the study.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Underage patients Lack of consent if the patient is capable of giving consent or if the patient lacks the capacity to give consent in the short or long term.
