Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: VA-ECMO

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: No sonography/imaging of the punctured artery prior to the initiation of VA-ECMO to short time in ECMO-therapy

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Primary outcome will be the scheduled termination of therapy with va-Ecmo and the examination, if there has been critical leg ischemia. Evaluation will be almostly acquired by the documentation written during therapy.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Predictability of critical leg ischemias with va-ECMO even before punction because of the artery diameters and accordingly prophylactic care with a distal perfusion
