Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients‘ attributes - Age >18 years - = 3 days on ICU/IMC - relatives available - no common diseases with corresponding symptoms that meet the delirium screening criteria (e.g. severe dementia) - no current diseases with symptoms overlapping delirium screening criteria (e.g. delirium of different etiology, encephalopathy) Relatives’ attributes - Age >18 years - Frequent visitors (at least every second day) - Sufficient German language skills Consent given
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients‘ attributes - do not conform with aforementioned inclusion criteria - mechanical ventilation during the entire ICU stay (no ICDSC screening of non-ventilated patient throughout the whole stay possible: no clear assessment of patient orientation possible) Relatives’ attributes - Age <18 years - infrequent visitors - insufficient German language skills - no consent given
