Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. >18 2. Patients with a diagnosis of severe aortic valve stenosis and elective planned TAVI surgery 3. COVID-19 not an exclusion criterion, but no specific inclusion criterion 4. Patients agree to be informed of a finding requiring treatment.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Pregnant women 2. Patients with mainly trauma and/or fractures of the cervical spine; Neck injuries; wounds and/or impaired wound healing and/or inflammation in the neck area; neck surgery in the last 30 days; Contraindication to head rotation. 3. Presence and location of large vessel occlusion (from CT angiography findings) 4. Patients for whom a delay in routine further treatment is foreseeable due to the duplex sonographic examination 5. Lack of consent and/or lack of ability to consent by the patient
