Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The video/image quality of the collected eardrum videos and eardrum images are rated by ENT experts (doctors) as part of a survey. This is carried out in particular with regard to the quality of the images and their diagnostic capability. In addition, the diagnostic accuracy of the doctors is determined and compared on the basis of the images taken using the frugal Arclight and the images taken using conventional video otoscopy. Furthermore, a questionnaire is used to evaluate the handling of the diagnosis, for which the Arclight otoscope (connected to a smartphone) will also be compared to conventional video otoscopy (Otopront).

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
The videos of real eardrums will be compared to videos of artificial eardrums ("sim ear" trainers).
