Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Consent of the participating paramedics - Test persons must belong to the group of non-medical rescue service staff - Sufficient visual acuity of the paramedics (self-assessment) to assess the video sequences

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: No existing consent of the test persons - Test subjects do not belong to the group of non-medical rescue service personnel - Technical defect during presentation of the ultrasound sequences

What percentage of the ultrasound loops shown are correctly named by non-medical emergency service personnel? "Pulsation of the common carotid artery present?" Yes, or No. Using B-, M-mode or the colour Doppler.

Are there differences in the correct detection of pulselessness or the presence of a pulse depending on whether the sequences are displayed in B-mode, M-mode or via colour Doppler?
