Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Primary endpoint: - Is haemodynamic monitoring used in the clinics? - Which methods are used? - Is there a difference between maximum care clinics, speciality clinics and primary and standard care clinics? - Is there a difference in the geographical distribution in Austria? - Are there differences in terms of the professional experience of the users?

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Which parameters do anaesthetists usually record as part of haemodynamic monitoring? - Do anaesthetists in your department have an SOP on haemodynamics, according to which they use haemodynamic monitoring or control the therapy? - Do anaesthetists generally use advanced haemodynamic monitoring (e.g. PiCCO) at the start of induction of anaesthesia or at the latest at the start of surgery or only when an unstable circulatory situation occurs intraoperatively? - What are the reasons for anaesthetists to establish haemodynamic monitoring before induction of anaesthesia or when taking over an already anaesthetised patient? - Which three parameters do anaesthetists consider to be the most important in the intraoperative monitoring of anaesthetised patients? - Which circulatory drugs do anaesthetists use intraoperatively? How do they administer them (peripheral / central venous)? - According to which parameters do anaesthetists primarily control the administration of circulatory drugs? (e.g. MAP, cardiac index, SVV, PPV etc.) - What options are generally available to anaesthetists in your clinic for haemodynamic monitoring?
