Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Women and men who have developed an ICU acquired weakness after intensive care treatment and who have signed the declaration of consent. Inclusion can also take place after the signature of the legal representative in the event that the patient is temporarily unable to give consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: - pregnancy - Leg amputation or other cause of inability to walk even before critical illness (crutches or walkers are no exclusion criteria) - Previously known severe dementia or other cause of higher-grade cognitive deficits - Other neuromuscular diseases (GBS, ALS, myasthenia gravis) - Long-term steroid therapy and Cushing's disease - Acute stroke - Acute myocardial infarction - Acute fractures, unstable cervical spine or pathological Fractures - Multi-resistant germs that leave the room
