Group 1: Patients with myopathic symptoms sheduled for a muscular biopsy as part of routine diagnostics at the Clinic for Neurology of the University Medical Center Goettingen are examined using MSOT.

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: - Myopathic symptoms (muscle pain, muscle weakness, CK elevation...) - sheduled for a diagnostic muscular biopsy in a muscle area reachable with MSOT - able to consent to study participation
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: - unable to give full informed consent - pregnancy - tattoos of the skin in the examination area - critical ill or instable patients
