Group 1: Data collection during induction of anaesthesia according to standard, i.e. spontaneous breathing, administration of the anesthetic drugs, mechanical ventilation via face mask and intubation

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: health status ASA I or II written informed consent Normal weight patients: BMI 18-25 kg/m2 obese patients: BMI >30 kg/m2

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: pregnancy, known difficult airway, case of emergency, planned rapid sequence induktion, increased risk for aspiration, pacemaker, implated defibrillator/cardioverter, other active implants, known lung disease.

derecruited lung volume from spontaneous breathing till mechanical ventilation after intubation, measured via electrical impedance tomography

derecruited lung volume between spontaneous breathing and mask ventilatio and between mask ventilation and intubated ventilation, Changes in dynamic respiratory system compliance, airway pressure and flow, tidal volumem easured at the ventilator, Measures of monitoring (heart rate, oxygen saturation endtidal CO2 partial pressure)
