Rather, this study is intended to conduct basic research and examine whether the 3D camera, as opposed to conventional measurement methods, provides reliable and perhaps even better values. In the near future, further studies on eye motor disorders will be conducted, for which our study is intended to serve as a basis.

Primary Endpoint: What: Using the Vectra M3 camera system and the DSLR camera, 18 photos were taken in different eye positions. These data will be analyzed for quality to determine whether the three-dimensional camera system can better assess the maximum extent of unilateral rotations compared to the two-dimensional system. When: After all participants have been examined. How: To evaluate the extent of unilateral rotations in the two-dimensional images, the images are prepared for analysis using Adobe Photoshop. First, the center of the pupil in each position is marked with guide lines. Then, all images are overlaid to create a composite image, from which the rotation extent in all directions can later be measured. The actual measurement of lengths is then performed in the next step using the program ImageJ. A 1 cm scale, attached to each participant's forehead during the photos, serves as the reference size. All measurements are then anonymized and transferred to an Excel table. All statistical analyses are conducted using SPSS for Windows, Version 17.0 (SPSS, Inc., Chicago, IL) and the MedCalc statistical packages (Version 12.7; MedCalc Statistical Software, Ostend, Belgium). The Bland-Altman method is applied to assess interobserver variability. Agreement between the measurements is presented in Bland-Altman plots. An independent t-test is conducted to compare measurement results between males and females. A paired t-test is used to compare the degree of eye movements in the nine cardinal positions. A linear regression analysis is performed to assess the relationship between the average maximum rotation extents and age, spherical equivalent, and axial length. A p-value of less than 0.05 is considered significant.
